LOS ANGELES - Online boutique Boudoir Essentials has begun its second annual "Valentine's Day Kissing Contest."
Company owner Karyn Cooks told AVN Novelty Business the contest is a romantic ode to traditional kissing contests and photo booths.
"We're in love with the flirty, romantic spontaneity of photo-booth kisses and the old endurance kissing contests," she explained. "This is our digital twist on both time-honored traditions. Last year, we had entries from all over the world, including the always-romantic Paris, and we can't wait to see what creative couples share with us this year."
Suki, founder and owner of contest co-sponsor OhMiBod, said she is "delighted" about being involved with the contest.
"Cupid's arrow has hit its mark this Valentine's Day," she said. "He's brought together two great facilitators of romance, OhMiBod and Boudoir Essentials."
Tace Kim, sales manager of contest co-sponsor Leg Avenue, said the company is pleased and proud to be part of the event.
"Boudoir Essentials' creative approach to promoting this special day has Leg Avenue excited about Valentine's Day," he said. "We are looking forward to more events like this in the future. Contestants, who must be at least 18 years old, can enter the contest by submitting an electronic photo of a romantic smooch with a sweetheart. Visit the "Kissing Contest" page of Boudoir Essentials' website to upload submissions. Photos submitted for the contest will be posted at the website.
Two winners-one for the grand prize and one for a special mention-will be chosen by Cooks and the Boudoir Essentials staff, based on which photos best represent the contest's romantic credo.
The winning snapshots will earn the kissing couples an OhMiBod or Boditalk Escort, as well as up to $300 in Leg Avenue lingerie styles featured on Boudoir Essentials' website
Entries must be received by noon PST on Feb. 13. Winners will be notified by email on Valentine's Day.
