Blow-Up Dolls Seized in Philippines

MANILA, Philippines - Philippines Bureau of Customs officials have seized inflatable sex dolls that were meant to be used for an international campaign against animal cruelty, an animal-rights group said Thursday.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals said the sex dolls were to be used as props in its Asian campaign against alleged abuse of chickens by major U.S. fast-food chain Kentucky Fried Chicken.

PETA said the dolls were confiscated by Philippines Bureau of Customs officials when they arrived in the Philippines through a U.S.-based parcel service. The group said the dolls have toured Asian countries such as Thailand, Japan and the Philippines with a banner reading, "KFC Blows."

Citing its own "undercover operations," PETA said suppliers for KFC often abuse chickens, including scalding them to death and cutting off their beaks while they are alive.

Kentucky Fried Chicken Philippine representatives were not available to comment.
