VAN NUYS, Calif. - After three successful tradeshows, Bico Australia has recently announced their 2008 collection of tribal-inspired jewelry "for the next generation" and will be displaying their wares at the AVN Novelty Expo in Universal City, Calif., July 14 to 15.
"Our unique product line transcends gender and age as well as all categories of retail possibilities. Because of the great success we have had with various gay and adult retailers, we felt the ANE was a great forum to introduce Bico to a broader buying audience. We are thrilled to be here. Besides, I could really use a new toy," the light-hearted Daria Szryftman, director of marketing at Bico Pacific, told AVN Novelty Business.
Bico was founded in 1995 in Bondi Beach, Australia, by two jewelry designers with the vision to create a "high quality jewelry line that infused the world of street and beach culture." They are known for their hand-polished, silver-plated, pewter pendants inspired by "designs that are universal in meaning and have a connecting power to people," as written in press materials, and also offer rings, bracelets, chains, belt buckles, and leather cuffs, among other items. The Van Nuys distribution offices were opened in 2003 under the name Bico Pacific.
Bico offers branded cases to display their unisex pewter and leather fashion jewelry line. Lockable display cases come in three sizes-Small Counter, Medium Counter, and Large Floor-and are branded to reflect the future-urban vibe of the brand. Branded packaging, such as pillow boxes, gift bags, hang sells, and authenticity cards are available also, as are posters, stickers, and postcards.
