Ball and Chain Releases Wedding-Season Games

AUBURN, Wash. - Ball and Chain , a manufacturer of romance and party games, has prepared for wedding season by adding several bachelor- and bachelorette-party items to its catalog.

"I want to let people know that we do more than romance games," company owner Dawn Goodman said. "I worked in adult retail for 15 years, and there were no games for bachelors, but people were asking for them all the time. Also, [at that time] people would ask for bachelorette games, and I'd suggest they play 'How well do you know the bride?' years before I knew I was going to be manufacturing [games like that]. People had to make a lot of these games up on their own."

Bachelor Play is a humorous dice dare game packaged in a cartoonish male torso and has Bridal Play as a counterpart. Hot Willy, Ball and Chain's most recent addition, is a phallic game of hot potato with a wind-up ticking willy.

Also among Ball and Chain's pre-wedding games are Bachelorette IOU Dare, which features dares written on cards, and the portable How Well Do You Know the Bride?

"I get the most compliments on the packaging and my price points-and that the games are fun and easy to play," Goodman noted.
