Baci Lingerie Plans Bold Launch

MIAMI—Baci Lingerie, a new company owned by the makers of Waterglide lubricant and ToySterile cleaner, is readying for a major launch of the line at the International Lingerie Show in April in Las Vegas.

Baci, which means “kiss” in Italian, plans to launch with 500 styles, all high-end, sexy pieces. The idea behind Baci Lingerie is that the “sexy” lingerie market is still much too small, and will see tremendous growth in the future.

In addition to high-end pieces, marketing and materials for Baci Lingerie will also meet more exacting standards. High-quality books, instead magazines or catalogs, will boast about 500 pages of glamorous photos of the line, worn by internationally known top models from the U.K., Germany, the U.S., South Africa, Australia, France and more. The shoot for the catalog ran more than 1,600 euros and features locations like castles in Germany and France.

Elan Rofe, one of the best-known lingerie designers in the world, served as a consultant for the creation and designs.

But despite the glamorous, high-quality look and feel of the pieces, they will maintain an affordable price point: No piece will cost more than $6.

“Baci Lingerie brings real erotic fashion into the erotic business,” the company said in a release. “No porn, no cheap shoots and no amateur models or glamour models. It gives the consumers the opportunity to get a great product in the best packaging for even better prices.”
