LOS ANGELES - Babeland announced on Friday that in support of the Writers Guild of America strike, it will offer a 20 discount in its Los Angeles, New York and Seattle stores to striking writers who show their WGA membership cards.
"The strike has dragged on and on, and we want to show our support," said co-founder Claire Cavanah. "The writers chose the difficult path of walking out of their jobs because their contracts weren't fair, and we support their right to demand fair compensation.
"We invite them to come in and get a discount on our products and maybe relieve a little stress when they go home from the picket line."
