Babeland Hosting Hello Kitty Vibe Photo Contest

SEATTLE - After a 10-year hiatus, the Hello Kitty mini vibrator is back on the market, and adult retailer Babeland is celebrating with a photo contest.

The Hello Kitty toy first was initially marketed as a shoulder massager, but manufacturer Sanio pulled it from shelves when they discovered customers were interested in the item for more sexual purposes. Now, the popular vibe is back, in three new colors.

Babeland's ‘Round the World Contest has fans of the vibe taking pictures of their Hello Kitty mini vibrator peeking out of their travel bag, perched in front of the Taj Majal, posed with their favorite band, and more. Babeland is asking contestants to keep their pictures G-rated "so Sanio doesn't send our favorite kitsch vibe back to the factory."

Contestants can email their photos to [email protected], and links to submitted photos will be posted on Babeland's website.

On Sept. 1, Babeland employees will choose the best three photos, and the winners will receive a $100 gift card for Babeland.

Those who don't yet have a Hello Kitty mini vibrator need not fret: either visit a Babeland store or shop online at Babeland.com, and receive a free massage bar with the purchase of the vibe.
