Alleged Sex-Shop Looter Skips Court Date

SUSSEX, England - A sex-shop employee locked up for allegedly stealing more than $1,000 worth of sex toys missed his appeal hearing Wednesday.

The judge fined Lee Bartholomew for "not having the courtesy to inform the court of his absence."

Bartholomew, an employee of Secret Desires, was jailed for four months in September 2007, when he allegedly stole vibrators, hormone spray and cash from the store.

Police who searched Bartholomew's home reportedly found 22 DVDs and cans of a spray designed to attract women. Police reportedly found lubricated vaginas, a pump, a dildo, batteries and lube in Bartholomew's vehicle.
