All Hands on Deck at Doc Johnson

NORTH HOLLYWOODIt’s not a strange site to see the founder of company walking the halls, talking to employees, watching the work being done. But Ron Braverman, founder of novelty manufacturer Doc Johnson, isn’t afraid to roll up his sleeves and pitch in when there’s serious work to be done.

When a very large order came in to the company recently, it was all hands on deck for all employees to make sure it got filled on time. And to make that happen, Braverman and company CFO Mary Gabriel were right there on the production line, donning hair nets and putting plastic sleeves on bottles.

“It’s very important to always know how your company runs from the inside,” Braverman told AVN as he got bottles ready to be shrink-wrapped. “It’s easy to sit in meetings, but you don’t know how things really work unless you come and spend time with your employees and spend time with the people who helped build your company. We have a great team of people and I enjoy talking to them and seeing their daily struggles so we can make this a better place for them to work.”

Braverman founded Doc Johnson in 1976. Since then the company has grown into one of the largest manufacturers of adult novelties in the world. For a photo gallery of Braverman, Gabriel and others hard at work, visit AVN.com/galleries.
