LOS ANGELES – Stockroom.com, a leading high-end manufacturer of specialized pleasure, pain and fetish products, is partnering with veteran marketing executive Adam Splinis, known for creating game-changing sales techniques for online companies and New York City nightclubs.
Splinis will be responsible for developing a new generation of wholesale distribution initiatives for Stockroom.com.
“We’re delighted that Adam will be working with us on developing new distribution initiatives for our manufactured products,” says Stockroom President Mike Herman. “He will be a very good fit with our heavy emphasis on outstanding customer service and follow-through.”
Working in the nightlife business, Splinis developed ground-breaking direct-to-customer and network marketing techniques that brought more than 10,000 new patrons a week to top New York City nightclubs like the legendary Limelight. Five years ago he started Global Direct, an adult wholesale and distribution company that became an industry leader. Through innovative relationship-building techniques, he also helped grow an effective affiliate program for Mallcom.com.
Splinis additionally combines his nightlife and adult industry expertise as producer and principal promoter of the Pornstarville parties in Las Vegas. The annual event – which is one of the most sought-after and highly-attended after-parties for the adult industry’s AVN Awards Show – is always held at top venues like MGM’s Studio 54. This year’s party, for which Splinis gathered the support of more than 60 industry sponsors, was attended by more than 5,000 people.
"I have always believed in using every tool possible to create sales and expand the business,” Splinis says. “With Stockroom.com I’ll be able to blend their unmatched product excellence and cutting-edge erotic technology with mainstream marketing and sales innovation to develop an entirely new approach to wholesale distribution. I think we will do great things together."
Scott Coffman, founder and CEO of AEBN, the world’s largest video-on-demand technology company adds, “Adam has an exceptionally strong background in mainstream marketing and in building and extending distribution channels. He is a take-charge guy who delivers on his promises and he will do very well in his new venture with Stockroom. I look forward to working with him and with Stockroom on some future endeavors.”
Joel Tucker founded Stockroom Inc. in 1988 and took it online in 1989. The company is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year operating out of a 30,000-square-foot, three-story workshop and retail space on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. The vertically integrated facility combines leather and latex production, shipping, receiving and warehousing with design, executive and sales offices and a retail boutique that was awarded “Best Fetish Store” by Los Angeles magazine.
