LAS VEGAS—Once again, novelty manufacturers, retailers and distributors have descended on Las Vegas to take part in the AVN Novelty Expo, which started its three-day run Wednesday at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
Exhibitors filled the booths in the Artist Hall and Luxury Boutique in Festival Hall and met with buyers and more during show floor hours.
NS Novelties unveiled new lines and one of the most unique products to hit the market in some time. Sales rep Sunny Rogers showed off the new Sinful Bondage line, which features a black-and-pink motif and entry-level BDSM products that retail for no more than $19.99.
“The cuffs and collar have no sharp edges and soft neoprene inside and anodized metal,” she said. “I think it gives it a much more elegant look. And the paddle and whip are made with real leather.”
Lulu Shwartzer, sales rep, showcased the Infinity, which is several toys in one. With three arms that extend from the brushed chrome handle, the device can be used solo or with a partner.
As she bent the arms, which each boasts their own motor and power button on the handle, Shwartzer explained the pleasure product can be used for full vaginal insertion, G-spot stimulation, clitoral stimulation and anal stimulation. The Infinity also offers seven patterns in each arm.
“There are infinite combinations,” she said.
Imtoy also showcased a new product for men at the show. Company spokeswoman Betty explained that the Imtoy is an interactive male pleasure product that can be used alone as a vibrating masturbator or interactively with videos available from the company’s website. When used with video content, which is available through a monthly subscription or by a single purchase that can be played on any device equipped with Bluetooth, the device mimics the action on the screen.
Angel Dream Land, a China-based manufacturer with distribution channels in New York and Vancouver, Canada, displayed several of the items they make, ranging from vibrators to masturbation sleeves and more.
Masque Sexual Flavors, which debuted at a previous ANE show, was also on hand to show off their flavored strips which help cover up the taste of semen. The strips have been featured in several mainstream publications in the past 18 months and continue to grow in popularity.
Wicked Sensual Care, a division of Wicked Pictures, added to its line of personal care products with Overtime, a delay cream for men.
“The cream only uses 5 percent benzocaine, which is enough to take the edge off but not so overpowering that men can’t still feel and participate,” explained Carrie Smith, the manager of the line.
Like all other products in the Wicked Sensual Care line, Overtime is vegan and paraben-free.
Belgian company ?JEP! (pronounced “yep”) is a first-time exhibitor that introduced their Couer D’Amour (Heart of Love) to the American market. The heart-shaped device lights up with a warm glow and vibrates in a variety of patterns. The piece is rechargeable and waterproof.
OxBalls also chose ANE to reach out to more mainstream buyers and distributors after finding success in the hardcore market.
“We create high-end dildos from platinum silicone and cock rings from body-safe TPE,” explained company rep Stephen Lane, who added that the company creates larger dildos with unique designs and more unusual products like a strap-on urinal that are sure to grab attention.
Onvitas USA offered its new product, Actacaine, a topical desensitizing spray for men. Company rep Albert Tang said the spray relies on about 10 percent lidocaine, the most allowed for by the USDA.
Paradise Marketing’s booth showed the many products carried by the distributor, including Trojan condoms ad vibrators.
Also exhibiting in Artist Hall during ANE are Beauty Garden, which manufactures unique vibrators that have a thrusting shaft; HGD Industry, another manufacturer of a variety of vibrators; Jelique, creator of personal care products such as Nipple Nibblers and Pure Instinct pheromone cologne; Liao Yang Baile Health Care Product Co. and ABC-Feeling, manufacturers of vibrators and other pleasure products; Dr. Clockworks, which offers e-stim wands and accessories; Impulse Marketing, which carries herbal supplements including Sacred Blue to reduce anxiety, NuEnergy to increase energy levels and Bulldozer to enhance a man’s sexual performance; and General Merchandise, which also offers herbal and dietary supplements.
