MONTEREY, Calif.—While Swedish design brand celebrates its 10-year anniversary with selected representatives from distributors, retailers and customers, LELO took the time during its 10-Year Anniversary Summit to recognize AVN with its inaugural LELO Founders Award.
“These brand new awards recognize partners of ours who have been there with us since the early days,” said Donna Faro, USA sales and marketing director for LELO.
When presenting the award to AVN, Faro said the media company was chosen for being a pioneer in the industry, and for being a trailblazing company that set up a network of information about and for the adult industry.
“As AVN continues to celebrate its 30th anniversary, we feel blessed to have seen LELO make some big changes when it entered the scene 10 years ago,” Sherri L. Shaulis, senior editor of pleasure products for AVN, said while accepting the award. “AVN is honored to be a part of LELO’s history, writing about the products, the people and the company that has innovated the world of luxury products for 10 years.”
Also receiving the LELO Founders Award was XBiz, another trade publication.
“I’m truly speechless,” said owner Alec Helmy of the honor. “And congratulations to LELO for setting the highest standard in pleasure products.”
The LELO 10-Year Anniversary Summit continues through Friday in Monterey, Calif., as the design company celebrates its past, present and future with colleagues and esteemed representatives of the pleasure product industry.
“After 10 Years at the top of the industry, this is our chance to give something back to our retailers and distributors worldwide, with unparalleled support in their business and asking them to join us in making 2013 truly a year to remember,” LELO CEO Miroslav Slavic said.
