BURBANK, Calif.—As the latest installment of the ANME Founders Show comes to a close, some interesting new products were the talk of the show.
At the Doc Johnson booth, the new TruSkyn collection was garnering plenty of attention, according to Sunny Rodgers, marketing guru for Doc.
“These are shapes that are unique to us,” she said. “They are the first dual density silicone dildos on the market.”
The new pieces are harness compatible, and will soon be compatible with Doc’s Vac-U-Lock harness system.
Doc Johnson also added new items to several popular existing collection, chilling CandiLand. The manufacturer is now packaging small tubes of its sugar-free massage oil with colorful bullet vibrators as Sugar Buzz combos, perfect for stocking near a register. The line also will see its first kits in the coming weeks, retailing for $19.99 and $24.99.
In the All Star Porn Stars collection, the company released the Prinzzess Ass & Pussy, as well as the Dani Daniels Ass & Pussy, for which Daniels helped write copy for the packaging.
Among the more unique items from Doc Johnson are the Mangina and the Piss Off dildo. The Mangina is a silicone dildo and stroker in one.
“It’s a top and bottom, so it’s the perfect date,” Rodgers said.
The Piss Off dildo is a traditional dong with balls, but it has a hollow tube though the center that delivers yellow-colored but tropical-flavored lubricant from the ball through the tip.
Topic Sales also drew plenty of attention from the attendees, thanks to the TwerkingButt sex toy created in conjunction with PornHub.
Michael Siegel, COO of Topco, explained that there are two version of the TwerkingButt: the Classic and Deluxe. Both vibrate and warm up, but the Deluxe version is compatible with an app that lets users choose between enjoying the twerking on its own, to music or to free 3D content viewed through special goggles. The goggles hold any size smart phone as it plays the video content, supplied by PornHub.
Topic also updated some of its existing collections, including the Liquid Sex line of lubes, desensitizing gels and more, and the O! Pleasure collection of enhancing creams for men and women.
Jimmyjane also shared big news at the trade show, including the addition of Sir Richard’s Condoms as a sister company under parent company Diamond Products.
“Diamond Products is serious about being a house of brands,” said Robert Rheaume, president of Jimmyjane. “With this move, we will be able to expand deeper into the worlds of sexuality and health.”
More big news from Jimmyjane is the upcoming launch of the Form 1 and Form 8 pleasure products. The Form 1 will be a wearable panty vibe that has a removable silicone casing that allows it to be used in any pair of panties or G-string.
“It is the ultimate wearable bullet vibrator,” explained Molly Murphy, marketing director for the manufacturer.
The massager is flexible and comes with a Bluetooth-enabled remote control called the Flirt.
“The Flirt will control other devices that we introduce in 2016 and later,” Rheum said. “And we plan to make our previously released products compatible with the Flirt in the future as well.”
The Form 8 is a combination or two Jimmyjane favorites, the Form 2 and the Form 6. The rabbit-style vibrator features the vibrating ears of the Form 2 as the clitoral stimulator, and the curved and ergonomically designed shaft of the Form 6.
The Screaming O also had new products to showcase, including the OBob (Battery Operated Boyfriend). The a handle that looks like a body with arms and legs, the head of the wand-style massager features a winking emoticon face for a little fun and whimsy. Also new is the collection of Pop Vibes, clit stimulator that resembles wand-style vibes with sherbet-colored heads.The Color Pops offer three speeds and pulsation patterns and an ergonomically designed handle.
Evolved Novelties drew in customers with the Real Skin Dual Feel Dildo. The bendable and posable dong with balls has a suction cup base, a set of beads near the head of the piece and life-like TPE that moves up and down the shaft as its stroked or inserted.
The manufacturer also unveiled a new travel size version of the Perfect Stroke, which is a masturbator that can be sued with an erect of flaccid penis. Lucy Vonne D’Olimpio, sales executive for Evolved, said that the casing is also easier to grip and squeeze now, making it more appealing to elderly customers.
Joydivision, the German company which is once again making a splash in the United States, announced the upcoming release of its Xpander collection of anal plugs. The initial release will see three versions: The X1, X2 and X3. All versions will be made of silicone that will expand once inserted. The X1 will be a traditional design, while the X2 will house a removable bullet in the handle, and the X3 will have a small but powerful motor inside.
Doxy, a U.K.-based manufacturer, brought its wand-style massagers the Doxy to American audiences at the show, including one that features a silicone head and an aluminum and titanium handle. Company reps also debuted the Skittle, inspired by the popular British pub game. With a look that resembles a skittle pin, the gender neutral plug-and-play massager has a 12-foot cord and various pulsation settings.
CalExotics unveiled a number of new products to successful collections, including the Mighty Mouth motorized masturbator in the Colt Gear collection, and the Special Edition Butterlfy Kiss vibrator, which comes in white and 3D clamshell packaging.
Making its debut at the show were the His Hers Our kits. Nichole Grossmann, from CalExotics’ marketing department, said the kits are designed to be easily stocked and merchandised in retail outlets. The His kits are the Masturbation and Prostate Training versions; the Hers kits are the Clit Kit, the Kegel Kit, the G-Spot Kit and the Anal Kit; while the Ours kits feature the Romance Kit, Date Night Kit, Weekender Kit and Fetish Kit.
CalExotics also debuted a new e-leaning platform geared toward retailers. The program will offer educational courses each month to let retail managers and staff members learn about the features of various CalExotics products. Once the complete the presentation, they can take a quiz, and get emailed a certificate of competition and a link to click to enter monthly prize drawings.
“Our first month we will award Starbucks gift cards,” Grossmann said. “Other months there will be gift certificates for other stores, or even prizes of CalExotics’ products.”
At the OhMiBod booth, husband-and-wife team Brian and Suki Dunham announced the newest additions to the Lovelife collection: The Wanderlust massager, which is a wand-style massager with a heart-shaped head; and the Snuggle, a dual stimulator that is a combination of the Cuddle and Adventure massagers form the existing lineup. The new products will begin shipping in October, just in time for the holidays.
Sportsheets showed customers that their Manbound collection is back with a new look and new products. With new models and new photoshoots done against a gritty brick background, the collection features all the favorite products, as well as a new Neck & Wrist Restraint, a Mask, a Ball Stretcher and a Bondage Starter Kit.
The manufacturer also expanded its Sexperiments collection with the Sexy Severe Kit, Masquerade Party kit and the Golden Opportunities kit.
Pipedream Products’ major debut was the Gold Edition of its Icicles line. Like its predecessors, each item in this collection is a hand-blown glass piece, but the 12 SKUs in the Gold Edition are all gold glass.
The manufacturer also expanded its Neon collection with the Orgasmo Kit, which boasts a length of rope, a vibrating cock ring, a pocket rocket-style vibrator and samples of Orgasmo Gel and G-Spot Gel.
And in the Nasstoys booth, founder and owner Elliot Schwartz said the new the Surenda Oral Vibe was performing well among retailers. The U-shaped vibrator fits inside the mouth and curve outside along the cheek to enhance oral sex performances. Available in pink and flesh colors, the Surenda Oral Vibe offers five speeds and functions.
“Customers are really loving this vibe,” he said. “It’s been a big hit for us.”
