LAS VEGAS—The AVN Novelty Expo, which closes today after running for the first time ever in conjunction with the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, brought together a number of new manufacturers and exciting new products with buyers and distributors from all over the world.
XGen Products, a distribution company that handles various unique product lines, including wigs and sexual position pillows, recently entered the manufacturing realm and debuted its first products at the show. The Body Wand comes in three sizes—small, medium and large—and each utilizes a different power source. The small version is battery operated, while the medium is rechargeable lithium ion and the large is plugged in, and will also have a Euro plug. And on the handle of each piece is a wheel to control the intensity of the vibrations.
“They are Japanese design and engineering, so they are far superior to anything else of their kind,” said Andy Green, vice president of XGen Products. The Body Wand will ship in March, and can be displayed individually or in a 12-piece PDQ display.
Among the low-tech products to bow at the show was the Red Pill, which is a natural male stimulant that contains no synthetic chemicals. “There have been no issues or complaints with negative side effects, and one capsule last two to three days in the man’s system, while two capsules will last three to five days,” explained Elena, a rep for the company. “And the major selling point is it only works with physical stimulation.”
LoveHoney was also on hand, showcasing its new Shag Factory line. The brightly colored cock rings and bullet vibes are perfect to display on a countertop or at the register, and have packaging reminiscent of the Austin Powers movies. With names like Big Ben and Swing Ring, the items are all powered by intense bullet vibes.
Also exhibiting for the first time at ANE were Spank Me Cards—sexy, flirty and fun greeting cards that feature original artwork based on various themes, including holidays and Zodiac signs; Instead Soft Cups, comfortable cups that are an alternative to tampons and/or pads; and Papaya Toys, a company that manufacturers German-engineered vibrators that use 100 percent medical-grade silicone from the U.S.
