"Original, opulent, orgasmic, outstanding--when it comes to this industry, the letter O brings many superlatives to mind," said Tony Lovett, VP of AVN's Products and Apparel division and publisher of AVN Novelty Business. "With The 'O' Awards, we're honoring companies, products, and individuals to which all those words apply."
More of a celebratory social gathering than a formal sit-down awards ceremony, The "O" Awards will offer attendees at the 2009 AVN Novelty Expo the opportunity to mingle as they celebrate the best the business has to offer.
"With ANB's experience and standing in the industry, we're in the unique position of being able to recognize excellence with an award that will carry special meaning for professionals," said Lovett. "But we want to do it in a casual setting that's designed for networking and having a good time."
The "O" Awards will be presented in a number of different categories, including outstanding achievement in product design, marketing, and retail sales, among others. Though preliminary nominations will be open to all industry professionals, the final nominations and judging process will be overseen by ANB staff and contributors, as well as a diverse panel of distinguished industry professionals.
