Uncut James Delays Preliminary Hearing Until August 26

LOS ANGELES—A preliminary hearing in the case against Uncut James for attempted murder stemming from an attack on fellow performer The Flesh Mechanic in early April has been continued to Monday, August 26. This continuance comes after a court today agreed to postpone the preliminary hearing that was scheduled to take place.

AVN previously reported that Uncut James pleaded not guilty during his May 3 arraignment on charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon that isn't a firearm, and the unlawful possession of a loaded firearm in public. James, 26, entered the plea at the Van Nuys West courthouse.

James faces charges related to the April 2 incident between him and The Flesh Mechanic. Allegedly, The Flesh Mechanic shot a scene with Uncut James' ex-girlfriend, Ivy Lebelle.

On April 2, The Flesh Mechanic was struck twice as he was pulling out of the driveway of a friend's home on his motorcycle by a pickup truck driven by James.

Mechanic claims James attempted to put on a ski mask to conceal his identity, was wearing rubber gloves, and wielded a golf club, with which he attacked Mechanic. Mechanic maintains self-defense.
