UPDATE (6:32 p.m. 4.5.24): Uncut James was released from the detention center where he was being held at 5:03 p.m. this afteroon after posting bond, according to Los Angeles Sherriff's Department records. He has been scheduled to appear for a hearing at Van Nuys Municipal Court on May 3.
LOS ANGELES—The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to AVN that male porn star Uncut James was arrested and faces charges for felony attempted murder.
James was arrested today at 4:15 p.m. PT, and stands accused of violently attacking fellow male performer The Flesh Mechanic.
James is currently being held on a $1 million bond at a Los Angeles Police Department detention center until his arraignment.
AVN confirmed these details after Flesh Mechanic posted to X that James had been arrested.
The altercation occurred Tuesday in Los Angeles. James was allegedly motivated to attack Flesh Mechanic due to a content collaboration between Mechanic and James' former girlfriend, female performer Ivy Lebelle.
According to his account of the attack, via multiple posts to his X feed, Flesh Mechanic was struck twice by a truck belonging to James as he was pulling out of the driveway at a friend’s home on his motorcycle. Mechanic claims James attempted to put on a ski mask to conceal his identity, was wearing rubber gloves, and wielded a golf club, with which he attacked Mechanic.
Mechanic says he defended himself against the attack and maintains self-defense.
“There were multiple witnesses; this person left in an ambulance and will be going to jail,” Mechanic posted to X. “Apparently, I worked with this person’s ex-girlfriend, and that’s why he told me he was attacking me.”
In a video posted by Flesh Mechanic to X, he is wearing motorcycle gloves and a helmet and is on top of a battered and bloodied James, awaiting police.
Another post shows the helmet Flesh Mechanic was wearing covered in blood.
An anonymous source told AVN that James was hospitalized at UCLA West Valley Medical Center and released from care.
Flesh Mechanic confirmed this development on X.
The police officers reportedly found a hammer in James' truck, adding to the police hypothesis that he purposefully targeted Flesh Mechanic and had plans to carry out bodily harm and violence to him.
In a reply to Mechanic's video depicting the bloodied attacker, Ivy Lebelle accused James of being obsessive and mentally ill.
“For the record, I’m the ex Uncut James attacked [Flesh Mechanic] about,” posted Lebelle.
“I worked with [Flesh Mechanic] after I cut James out of my life. He’s a very scary person, and I was scared this would happen to me if I spoke up. I have not talked to James since I blocked him [six] weeks ago, despite his repeated attempts to harass me via different Google numbers and snail mail. I never saw this coming, and neither did [Flesh Mechanic].”
Lebelle added that she views James’ actions as attempted murder.
Hussie Models represented Uncut James. After word of the fight broke, the agency posted on its X account that it had dropped James and canceled any future bookings with him. Hussie Models did not comment further on the decision to drop James.
“That type of violent, abhorrent behavior will never be condoned within the agency,” reads Hussie Models' post. “This performer is permanently removed from the agency, and all future bookings have been canceled.”
Posts of support for Flesh Mechanic have poured out, including ones criticizing James and calling for him to be blacklisted across the industry.
This is a developing story.
