LOS ANGELES—Sarah Shevon, a multi-AVN Awards nominated performer, is asking for support for her newly-launched crowd-funding campaign to help pay for ongoing health care costs due to gastrointestinal issues that now require several surgeries.
The starlet, who has been dealing with chronic ulcerative colitis since she was 18, said she has had her condition under control with medicine until this past year when her condition worsened after she came down with COVID-19 last January. Ulcerative colitis is an inflammatory bowel disease that causes inflammation and ulcers in the digestive tract and affects the inner lining of the large intestine and rectum.
According to her GoFundMe page, which aims to raise $600,000, Shevon said she was able to manage her condition with steroid medicine, but over the summer and into the fall her condition became worse and ultimately landed her in the hospital last month where she was told she would need surgery to remove her lower intestine and rectum.
“No medications are effective or efficient for me at this point,” she wrote. “My Ulcerative Colitis is now far too advanced and is in the end-stage of the disease, I am at a very high-risk of colon cancer and need my entire colon (lower intestine) and rectum removed as soon as possible.”

Shevon’s symptoms include diarrhea, abdominal and back pain, nausea, heartburn, vomiting, dizziness, weakness, extreme fatigue, constant exhaustion, the inability to stand for short periods or even walk short distances. She also suffers from shortness of breath, rapid breathing, rapid heart rate, headaches, muscle and joint aches, fevers, chills, feeling too cold to move for hours as well as having to rush to the toilet every 30 minutes to an hour.
The surgery means she will be getting a “J-pouch” surgery or a redesigned colon/rectum using the upper intestine, so she won’t need to wear an ostomy waste bag indefinitely if all goes well. Most likely, Shevon would need two to three surgeries to complete the procedure due to the severity of the case. Each surgery includes hospital stays of between 3 to 7 days and will be performed 8-12 weeks apart.
Having spent nearly a month in the hospital last year, Shevon is now feeling better, but is getting ready to go in for her first of three surgeries this month. But costs for the surgeries and hospital stays will likely run more than $100,000 each while her current medical bills for her December hospital stay were nearly $133,000, of which $53,172 are due on Jan. 19.
“At first, I was thinking about setting my funding goal to half of what it is now, because I just had no idea, but now after learning more about the surgeries and seeing my first hospital bill I doubled it, and I’m afraid that I still may not be asking for enough,” she wrote. “Will see how it goes though, I believe I can update it as needed. Anything will help, seriously, nothing is too small, $1, $5, $10, $20 donations do add up!”
Using her Twitter and Instagram pages, Shevon has been reaching out to fans with updates and support for her GoFundMe campaign, which so far has received $1,630 since it went live yesterday.
The statuesque performer, who entered the industry in 2009, is known for her work with Evil Angel, Elegant Angel, Girlfriends Films, Kick Ass Pictures, Jules Jordan Video, New Sensations, Wicked Pictures and many others. Lately, Shevon primarily spends her time creating content and camming at SarahShevon.cammodels.com.
“It has taken a lot for me to open-up about my health condition publicly and ask for financial help,” she wrote. “I don’t like asking for any type of help in general, I am very independent and used to toughing out harder times. But now is a different and difficult time for me, I never felt so helpless and I really can use all the help I can get!!!”
