CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Adult industry mental health support group Pineapple Support will be the host of a collaborative therapy group whose main focus will be on the trauma(s) experienced by adult performers. The six-week course, provided by Pineapple Support therapist Angie Gunn, begins tomorrow, August 7, and will be limited to nine participants.
“In this collaborative group, we will explore the many layers of trauma and its impact on every facet of well-being,” Gunn explained. “We will provide the basics of trauma neurobiology and tools for understanding the nuances of the symptoms, while also creating strategies for healing and integration of all the parts of you.”
“Trauma can be difficult to talk about if it’s not in the correct settings with the right professionals,” said Leya Tanit, the British performer who founded Pineapple Support as a non-profit in 2018. “Angie has been specifically trained in sexuality, trauma, attachment and family systems and I know this support group is going to be incredibly beneficial for all those that participate. Space is limited to nine participants, so reserve your place soon.”
The six-week course, named "Trauma’s Shadow," begins tomorrow, August 7, and will take place online from 6 to 7 p.m. each Friday until September 11. For more information and/or to secure a place, click here.
