TMZ: Maitland Ward Sued for $270K Over Alleged Production Deal

LOS ANGELESβ€”An unnamed actress and a videographer are reportedly suing Maitland Ward for more than $270,000 after an alleged video production deal went bad, TMZ is reporting tonight.

"The fact that these longtime friends have gotten together after so many months to sue me is complete slander and immoral. There are zero contracts and agreements that have any info pertaining to this completely made up story,” Ward told the outlet.

Ward added that the lawsuit is "a joke and warning to all porn stars to be careful who you shoot with on the outside."

According to documents obtained by TMZ, the actress and videographer claim they began working together with Ward in July 2017. Ward and the actress allegedly developed a sexual relationship. But, according to the lawsuit, when that relationship soured, so did an unspecified deal they had agreed to in September 2018 that would have earned them hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The suit claims Ward and her lawyer received the money they were all supposed to split, but instead of receiving their share, the performer and videographer allegedly got strung along with bad checks and false promises. The two are now seeking $180,000 for the actress and $90,000 for the videographer, along with other damages.

Ward made headlines last year after having starred in the ABC family sitcom Boy Meets World, as well as other mainstream television series and movies, moved on to perform in adult films for a number of top adult studios. In January, she earned AVN Awards for Best Supporting Actress in the movie Drive, and Best Three-Way Sex Scene – Girl/Girl/Boy for the same title, as well as the AVN Fan Award for Favorite Camming Cosplayer.

Attempts by AVN to reach Ward for comment were unsuccessful as of post time.
