Jessica Drake Talks Being a Survivor at Tending the Garden Summit

LOS ANGELES—Wicked Sensual Care brand strategist, sex educator and Wicked Pictures contract star Jessica Drake was featured as a speaker at last weekend's 2021 Tending the Garden Virtual Summit.

Founded by sex educator and trauma expert Jimanekia Eborn, the two-day retreat offers a healing and accessible space to survivors of sexual assault, particularly those of marginalized identities. Participants are given access to licensed therapists, counselors, sex educators and fellow survivors in a series of panels and discussions. Drake spoke alongside licensed clinical social worker Angie Gunn and veteran sex worker, community organizer and Black feminist porn veteran Sinnamon Love on the panel "Being a Sex Worker and a Survivor."

"Jimanekia and Tending the Garden have once again created a safe space for very necessary and yet often overlooked conversations about the intersection of survivors and people with marginalized identities," Drake said. "Not only was I honored to speak as a panelist on 'Being a Sex Worker and a Survivor' along with Sinnamon Love and Angie Gunn, I also attended the entire summit and learned so much from each of the panelists. As a survivor, finding new ways to heal and feeling a sense of community are so important, and I highly recommend everything Jimanekia and Tending the Garden have to offer."
