Indiana Group Posting Anti-Porn Billboards

CLARKSVILLE, Ind. - A group calling itself Reclaiming Our Culture Kentuckiana, or ROCK, has put up a billboard, with plans for two more to follow, along Interstate 65 decrying local adult businesses.

The billboard displays three Xs, with the words "Garbage In, Garbage Out" beneath them.

"[Pornography] does have a public face," ROCK president Bryan Wickens told local news. "There are public harms associated with it. And when we take this in … there are harmful effects onto our community."

Wickens asserted that said harmful effects include increased crime, decreased property values, and the exploitation of women and children.

ROCK's goal, it claims, is not to criminalize the sale of pornography, but to educate the community about its effects. With the addition of the other two billboards, ROCK will have spent close to $8,000 on the campaign.

ROCK will be holding a press conference Thursday at 2:30 p.m. below the first billboard to heighten awareness of its efforts.
