CHATSWORTH, Calif.—The Free Speech Coalition (FSC) announces that the election process for its Board of Directors 2023-24 term will begin this Sunday, November 20, 2022 with the opening of nominations. In order to participate in this election, either as a voter or a nominee, you must be an FSC member in good standing as of November 20, 2022.
Board members are expected to govern and grow the organization through their two-year term, attend bimonthly board meetings, assist with fundraising and initiatives, and serve as ambassadors for FSC within the adult community. To read a full description of Board member expectations, click here.
Key Dates and Requirements for Participation
November 20: Record Date & Nominations Begin
Date by which you must be a Free Speech Coalition member in good standing in order to participate in the election either as a voter or a nominee. (Those who wish to become FSC members can do so here. Existing members who wish to confirm their active membership status for voting and nominations can do so here.)
Two nominations from active FSC members are required in order to get on the election ballot. Individuals are permitted to nominate themselves. Nominations close at midnight on the night of December 3.
December 11: Election Begins
Election for open seats on the Board begins on December 11 and ends at midnight on the night of December 17. Results of the election will be announced in the week following the close of the election.
