NEW YORK CITY—With the airing of what promises to be an explosive 60 Minutes interview with Stormy Daniels about her relationship with Donald Trump only about 48 hours away, Daniels’ lawyer posted an image to his Twitter feed that may be the most tantalizing clue yet as to what the iconic CBS News program might reveal.
Avenatti posted the tweet on the same day that he sent letters to Trump’s private business organization, as well as two banks, demanding that they preserve any and all documents related to the alleged Trump-Daniels extramarital relationship—and the $130,000 hush money payment sent to the AVN Hall of Famer by Trump’s personal lawyer and “fix-it guy” Michael Cohen.
But though Avenatti was cryptic about what the image meant, it appears that he and Daniels may have some documentation of their own in the form of a CD-R, or DVD, pictured in the tweet which can be accessed at this link.
“If ‘a picture is worth a thousand words,’ how many words is this worth?????#60minutes #pleasedenyit #basta,” Avenatti tweeted, to go along with the image of a silver disc in a white protective sleeve.
What “picture” (or pictures or video) could the disc contain? One responder on Avenatti’s Twitter feed stated that the disc contained nothing more than a video of Daniels taking a polygraph test in 2011, a test which judged her “truthful” in her claim to have had unprotected vaginal intercourse with Trump in 2006. AVN.com reported on the polygraph results earlier this week.
But Avenatti shot down that speculation, tweeting, “Nope. Enjoy Sunday and the days that follow...”
Judging by the hashtag #pleasedenyit, Avenatti appears to be implying that the disc contains images that would definitively refute any denials by Trump that the affair took place. In an interview on the cable news network MSNBC last week, Avenatti said that he was in possession of “100 percent” proof that the affair took place.
In fact, Daniels hinted that a Daniels-Trump “sex tape” may actually exist. “There could be, might be, would be, could be,” Avenatti said in response to a question about a sex tape’s existence. “Who knows?”
As anticipation for the 60 Minutes interview builds, however, Daniels herself is apparently offering to tell her story—on a pay-per-minute basis—on the camming site Camster.com.
According to the celebrity news site The Blast, Daniels has already teased her webcam show, which reportedly begins today, March 23, by promising, “the real story about what happened ...with you-know-who.”
