HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Summertime is just around the corner, and the Adult Performer Advocacy Committee (APAC) has a lot to celebrate. They’re throwing a fundraiser Summer BBQ Party on Sunday, July 1, in Northridge from 6 to 9 p.m.
The Summer BBQ Party will feature a delicious menu catered by Nathan Bronson, and attendees can take a dip in the pool and meet other adult performers.
But for many, the most exciting part of the night will be the official launch of the APAC Peer-to-Peer Mentorship Program established by Riley Reyes. PTP matches experienced performers (mentors) with new performers looking for guidance (mentees). Mentors and mentees will be meeting for the very first time at the BBQ—and it’s not too late to sign for the program. Those interested may apply here or fill out at application at the BBQ.
Another exciting event taking place during the BBQ will be the announcement of nominees for the upcoming APAC election for the positions of President, Treasurer, and Chairperson, along with two new positions, Director of Education and Director of Outreach. APAC members who would like to run should submit their nomination along with a brief bio through the APAC site.
“The APAC Peer-to-Peer (PTP) Mentorship program is a long-awaited addition to APAC's offerings,” said APAC Vice President Riley Reyes. “I’m so proud to see the launch of PTP. Providing new performers with support and mentorship is an invaluable tool in empowering the next generation of adult actors.”
