LOS ANGELES—The Adult Performer Advocacy Committee (APAC) will hold its annual board elections in August 2017.
APAC is a non-profit organization created and maintained solely by adult performers. APAC is tasked with educating and representing roughly 600 workers. Since its inception in 2013, APAC wrote and distributed the Model Bill of Rights and Professional Code of Conduct, became affiliated with First Entertainment Credit Union, created the APAC Stamp—an approval system that gives performers sex worker-friendly resources—worked with the PASS (Performer Availability Scheduling Services) advisory board to improve health and safety protocols within the industry, fought against harmful legislation—including last year's Prop 60 defeat—and much more.
APAC is currently looking to fill the following board positions: chairperson, president, vice-president, treasurer and secretary. Adult performers interested in nominating themselves for a position must email [email protected] by July 15, 2017. Nominees will be announced and voting will take place in August and the new board inducted in September 2017.
