“Emotional nostalgia and the owner’s inability to forget his roots prompted the company to maintain a small part of the business that continued selling to a niche part of the general public,” Gayne adds. “Specifically, this website serves as a showcase for those who don’t have access to a store in person. It’s a throwback with a little gloss added on. ”
The added content actually is quite entertaining, including sections on moon signs, reflexology, sex surveys, toy purchase guides, 3D renderings, palm reading, and advice. “I authored and maintain the written nature of it, so it’s my way of linking the present of our company to its distant past and thanking visitors for coming by in the process.”
