TROUBLEfilms Sends Cheque to Support Backlash UK

TROUBLEfilms is proud to announce that they were able to send a cheque for $400 to Backlash UK, a nonprofit that offers academic, legal and campaigning resources defending freedom of sexual expression. The funds came from the profits of the film Ban This Sick Filth!, a pornographic response to the British censorship laws introduced in December of last year.

"We're thrilled to be able to not only support Backlash ethically, but financially," said TROUBLEfilms representative Kitty Stryker. "Being able to put together a film that is educational, entertaining and erotic while also making a political statement about obscenity laws and the impact they have was a dream for us. Being able to give back to a group doing such important work is even better!"

One scene, "Banned in the UK", has been used at some universities as a catalyst for discussing censorship of erotic expression in pornography. "Here is a film that changed my view on porn completely," said one student after watching the film in class. "This film is one that explicitly and unabashedly mixed the political with the sexual."

The collaboration between American performers/producers Kitty Stryker and Courtney Trouble from TROUBLEfilms also features hardcore content and interviews from British performer/producer Pandora Blake from Dreams of Spanking. Between making this film and now, Blake has found herself under review by action of the very British laws we protested in the making of this film. Read her story here.

TROUBLEfilms asks fans to support their explicit protest of censorship laws by purchasing Ban This Sick Filth!—and until June 30, enjoy 25 percent off this release by using the code "sickfilth."
