Nominations for FSC Board Members Open

CANOGA PARK, Calif. — (Press Release) The Free Speech Coalition has sent electronic notification to its members, asking for nominations for the 2008 FSC Board elections.

From now until Nov. 21, FSC members can nominate fellow members for available board seats.

"We hope that the enthusiasm around this year’s national election will carry over to the election process for FSC board members,” FSC Executive Director Diane Duke said. "People in adult feel passionately about the issues facing the industry, and this is an opportunity to participate in positive progress, by choosing candidates who may eventually help to create policy and become advocates for the industry."

Current board members up for re-election are attorneys Jeffery Douglas and Reed Lee, AVN’s Mark Kernes, NakedSword’s Tim Valenti, Evotum’s Mara Epstein and Topco Sales’ Lynn Swanson.

Board incumbents and members with the greatest number of nominations will appear on the December ballot.  Final voting will take place from Dec. 1-19, by electronic and hand-written ballots, which will be sent to members.

Industry professionals who would like to join the FSC can participate in the nomination and election process, if their membership is verified prior to Dec. 1, 2008.
