PANAMA CITY, Fla. - 'Girls Gone Wild' founder Joe Francis has been hit with yet another lawsuit, this time from a Georgia woman who claims he used photos taken when she was 16 to promote and sell DVDs.
According to an Associated Press report, Brittany Pitts filed the suit July 12 in U.S. District Court in Florida. Pitts' suit alleges that Francis coerced her into exposing herself on camera while she was in Panama City during spring break 2002.
Pitts, now 21, learned of the DVD from a friend of her ex-fiancé, several years later.
Francis and his companies, Mantra Films and MRA Holding, presently face three other federal civil suits on similar charges.
Pitts' attorney told reporters that his client was under the impression the video was for the personal use of two Girls Gone Wild agents.
According to the AP report, Pitts is seeking punitive and compensatory damages for the use of her image.
