POMPANO BEACH, Fla. - "We're expanding," says Natalie Anderson, founder of Erotic Cosmetics and its line of Sugar Lips lipstick. The company is known for its flavored, scented, edible naughty lipsticks, which can be used to write sexy messages anywhere on the body-and be licked off. Now, the popular product is in high demand, according to Anderson. The expansion of the two-year-old Ft. Lauderdale-based company has led to new headquarters at more spacious offices in Pompano Beach, a move that Anderson promises will further the company's retail power.
"I guess Sugar Lips from Erotic Cosmetics is here to stay because we had to get a larger warehouse and office space to accommodate the growth," says Anderson. "We've benefited because now we have more room to expand. We were literally jam-packed and just could not keep up with the orders."
The move now allows Anderson to realize her vision of the company completely.
"I started the company because I wanted to empower women and make them feel very sexy," she says. "The company's really about empowering women."
According to Anderson, the move hasn't slowed Erotic Cosmetics down one bit. "We've continued business throughout the move." Anderson says. "We're shipping out orders even as we're moving."
Erotic Cosmetics now has the space it needs to push the already accelerated momentum of Sugar Lips' popularity.
"When you see Sugar Lips...you know that it's a high-quality product made in the U.S., not tested on animals, and sugar-free. I think that's important. I've worked hard to brand my company so that when you see that logo, you know that it's the Rolls Royce of whatever it is I manufacture."
