MIAMI—Emanon Inc., a management company based in Coral Springs, Fla., has filed suit against Toccata Inc. (aka SegPay). The action, which was filed Oct. 4 in Broward County circuit court, alleges that Toccata violated the terms of an agreement that the two companies entered into in 2008, and seeks payment of an outstanding note owed to Mannejor Ltd, a Cyprus-incorporated company.
“As a direct consequence of this lawsuit and effective immediately, Emanon is no longer providing management services to SegPay,” said Bjorn Skarlen, director of Emanon.
CommerceGate is an online payment processor offering third-party processing, direct merchant accounts and payment gateways to businesses in the United States and the European Union. A well-known company in the payment industry which has provided services to Emanon, CommerceGate added that as a result of this dispute it is no longer associated with SegPay in any way.
CommerceGate and its strategic partners have established a strong presence both in Europe and the United States over the past three years. CommerceGate is not affected by the lawsuit and will continue its expansion in line with the company's ambition to bring consistent improvements to payment processing in the high-risk market.
