Attorney Busted for Offering to Exchange Services for Sex Show

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.—Say you're Frank Kirk. You're 70 years old, you're an attorney—albeit one who spent six months in the slammer in '85 for arranging fake marriages—and apparently you don't have one hell of a sex life. What else would explain your (alleged) offer to a county prisoner to represent her in court if, since she had no money to pay your fee, she'd just let you watch while she got herself off with a dildo in the attorneys' room at the Oklahoma County jail?

Since Kirk never actually filed to be her attorney of record, it's unclear what the consequences of his alleged scheme will be on his legal career, but it doesn't look good. The female inmate, who was in the jail on drug charges, was contacted by an attorney from Legal Aid, which is what tipped her off to Kirk's fraud... and she decided it would be better to be part of a sting operation to catch Kirk with his pants down (figuratively). After all, according to her, he'd already gotten four free sex shows from her in that same room.

"Investigators say the woman met with Kirk inside the jail and he is heard on audio tape making advances towards her," wrote investigative reporter Phil Cross on the OKCFox.com website. "The sheriff's office says the woman was told to use the phrase 'my pants are too tight' to signal deputies to enter the room."

At a press conference, County Sheriff John Whetsel explained, "On March 3rd, as part of a sting operation, we were able to record a visit between Frank Kirk, the attorney, and a victim. On the audio, Frank Kirk is heard making advances and statements toward the victim while she was in the attorney booth with Frank Kirk. During his visit, Kirk furnished her with lubricating jelly and a sex toy and as this began, our investigators opened the door, entered and arrested Frank Kirk immediately. Deputies found Kirk was in possession of a cellphone and also recovered were intimate items that were used for the sexual contact."

Even local defense attorney Scott Adams had some trouble believing in Kirk's innocence.

"The sex toys and lubricant and stuff like that, I can't imagine in a million years any lawyer would do anything like that, and hopefully there's been a misunderstanding but it doesn't seem that way to me," Adams told Cross.

Kirk has been charged with five counts of offering to engage in acts of lewdness, all of which are misdemeanors, and one felony count of possessing a cellphone in a penal institution. No word yet as to when he'll go to court on them.
