IOWA CITY, IA—Some people will do anything for a little plastic love. In Iowa City, a man resorted to armed robbery Thursday when he entered Romantix Pleasure Palace at 3 a.m. and pulled a knife on the clerk, eventually making off with a sex doll.
“Police say a man armed with a large knife threatened the clerk, who jumped over the counter and ran from the store,” reported press-citizen.com. “The suspect chased the clerk for a short distance before turning back and stealing the doll.”
Police are investigating and no arrests have been made, but anyone who happens to see what was described as a “high-quality sex doll” valued at $250 in the possession of a white man, 5’8”-5’10” and 165 pounds, wearing a black coat and scarf over his face and carrying a backpack, can alert the police and claim the $1000 reward.
Rumors that the robber is a Rick Santorum supporter have not been confirmed.
