NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla.—A month to the day after a first-degree murder warrant was issued by Florida authorities for his arrest in the brutal murder of a Hudson, Fla., tattoo shop owner, adult industry performer Jason Richard Andrews was finally tracked down by U.S. Marshals and the Chattanooga Police Department at an upscale pool hall and cigar lounge in Tennessee, where he had been working for several weeks as a manager.
The vicious May 15 killing was allegedly the work of two people, according to police: Andrews—who appeared as a gay-for-pay model at SeanCody.com in 2008, and performed in both gay and straight productions under the name Addison—and Amanda Logue, 28, a married sometime prostitute and part-time adult performer who worked under the noms de porn Sunny Dae and Mandy Kaye. According to one website owner, the pair met in late September 2009 when they shot a scene together for ForbiddenGem.com.
Police allege that the duo conspired to kill Dennis "Scooter" Abrahamsen following a videotaped sex party that was attended by Logue, who was allegedly hired by Abrahamson to have sex on camera during the party. According to police, Abrahamson, 41, was stabbed and then bludgeoned with a sledgehammer as part of a plan the two killers hatched in typo- and expletive-laden text messages recovered by detectives. He was found by a family member 18 hours after the murder, "face down on a massage table with blood splattered on the walls and ceiling fan."
A sheriff’s report said that about $6,000 had been taken from Abrahamsen's home, along with a laptop computer, a video camera, a digital camera and a Home Depot credit card, which was used by the couple, and resulting in their arrest on May 19 as detectives were still trying to piece together the facts surrounding the slaying. Officials did not have enough evidence to link the pair to the murder, however, and were forced to release them.
Logue went home to her husband and child in Georgia, where she was subsequently arrested on May 26. She admitted to having had a role in the killing, but claimed that Andrews was responsible for the actual murder, saying he had entered Abrahamsen’s home after the other couple had left but while she was still there.
According to the Associated Press, “Logue told [detectives] that Andrews grabbed the back of her hair then twisted her arm behind her back. Andrews forced her to view Abrahamsen's crushed skull and told her that's what would happen to her if she told anyone.”
Thursday, Andrew’s fugitive turn came to an end after police tracked him to the Chattanooga Billiard Club.
"I would say he was very surprised," said U.S. Marshals Service spokesperson Paul Salayko. “He was very clean cut, broad shoulders, dressed in a suit, not in a suit and tie, but more Miami Vice, more of a GQ appearance.”
Andrews remains jailed in Tennessee until he can be extradited to Florida, reported the AP, which said authorities did not yet know if he has a lawyer.
