zBUCKz to Donate Revenues to Global AIDS Research

LONDONIn the spirit of the holiday season, gay adult affiliate program zBUCKz will donate 100 percent of its Christmas Day revenues to amfAR, a leading worldwide AIDS research organization. The funds will assist amfAR in its goal of helping healthcare workers and AIDS organizations in developing countries maximize local resources and implement effective research, treatment, prevention and education strategies.

“Being in the industry we are in, I think it’s important that we do all what we can to help the global fight against HIV/AIDS,” said zBUCKz Director DannyZ. “There are still millions of people around the world living with HIV/AIDS and no cure. I am happy to support amfAR in its global quest.”

Founded in 1985, amfAR is dedicated to ending the global AIDS epidemic through funding innovative research. The organization plays a catalytic role in accelerating the pace of HIV/AIDS research and achieving breakthroughs. Over the past 25 years, amfAR has invested nearly $290 million in its mission and has awarded grants to more than 2,000 research teams worldwide.

Although all Dec. 25 income will be donated, zBUCKz affiliates will be paid in full for all gross sales and re-bills they send that day, DannyZ assured. The program will add special notices to each of its sites in order to alert consumers to the charitable effort, and DannyZ said the notices should increase sign-ups from community minded surfers. He suggested affiliates might want to consider adding special notices to their traffic-generation efforts, as well—not only because charity is good for the soul, but also because it’s good for the industry’s image.

“I think [donating to a good cause] is the best holiday gift we could possibly give, not only to our affiliates but to ourselves as well,” he told GAYVN. “Living in Asia, I do believe Karma.

“I am surprised I haven’t seen more programs from both sides of the industry doing more to help in this arena,” he added. “I’ve been personally donating to AIDS organizations the past 10 years. When I lived in [Los Angeles], I worked for Out and The Advocate magazines and used to help organize AIDS Walk. I think [benevolent activities] would certainly help to increase respect for our industry if more people would embrace charities.”

Ahead of the big promotion, zBUCKz has added new, exclusive content to its best-selling site, JapanBoyz.com. New models, new trailers and a new “transparency” utility enabling members to find the freshest content quickly and easily were among the updates. A new tour and new promotional materials support sales efforts.
