Mickey’s Quickies | Oscar Winner’s Sex Tape, Film Festivals and Porn Connections, Other Tidbits

Out and proud Oscar-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black (Milk) is getting milked in his own way with the release of private sex photos and an alleged videotape of the studly blond director and some other dude. Perez Hilton obtained the pictures and posted them, but the images allegedly were pulled following a few terse letters from lawyers. Hilton is facing a lot of criticism over the affair. He warned, “Don’t take the pictures if you don’t want them out there.” (But of course no one wants to see that creep naked anyway.) He also said the content owner is Starzlife Photos, which supposedly has the video too.

Bloggers immediately commented about how well-hung Black is, but the biggest uproar was generated by the unprotected sex depicted in the images. Black quickly issued a statement: “It is unfortunate that individuals and other outside parties are trying to profit from material which is clearly private. ... More important than the embarrassment of this incident is the misleading message these images send. I apologize and cannot emphasize enough the importance of responsible sexual practices.”

It turns out the guy with Black is an online adult performer who goes by the name “Cameron,” although his real name reportedly is Jeff Delancy. He claims to be straight. About the same time the Black images began showing up on the Net, Delancy’s jack-off site went dark and he supposedly left his Orange County, Calif., home for a few weeks. He claims he didn’t sell the photos.

Of course, Black is not without porn connections. He filmed Dean O’Connor and starred him in the pseudo-reality movie On the Bus. I last chatted with Black in March after the 2009 GAYVN Awards, at a party where he was hobnobbing with a few stars who recognized him.

Brent Corrigan said Black promised him a part in Milk if they fooled around, but Corrigan has been known to have a propensity for exaggeration and should know screenwriters don’t cast movies. According to Corrigan, all of this happened on the same night he has a falling out with Michael Lucas.

Anyway, I remember when after a hot day of shooting On the Bus next door, a few of the guys, including O’Connor, came over for a dip in our pool and freely stripped off their clothes. Black maintained his underwear and was appropriately shy, as director and former Mormon.

I do think it was shitty for someone to try to sell incriminating pix that could ruin Black’s status as a role model for gay kids. I’m told he’s going to lie low for a while as far as porn events go, so it will be fascinating to see if he shows up at Will Clark’s Porn Bingo fundraiser on June 24 in New York. Frankly, I doubt he will, even though his appearance has been confirmed.

Sunday night was the world premiere of a great gay movie called Hollywood je t’aime, directed and written by Jason Bushman. It’s about a French guy who goes to Los Angeles to make it as an actor and meets drag queens and gay guys around town. Actor Chad Allen — who was outed by the tabloids at the Grabby Awards when he presented an award and kissed a guy — plays an HIV-positive drug dealer in the film. There’s also an appearance by Matt Bradshaw in a movie-within-a-movie shown at a bathhouse visited by the cute (uncut and hung) French star Eric Debets. Bradshaw’s jack-off scene adds to his resume, which already includes appearances in Will & Grace, Six Feet Under and Sex/Life in L.A., along with porn classics like Homo Erectus, Thunderballs and Falcon’s The Renegade.

Catch Hollywood je t’aime at the Los Angeles Film Festival for the next few weeks, then later in the month at the outdoor John Anson Ford Theatre as part of Outfest. With all the scenes shot in local gay spots in WeHo and Silver Lake, it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Outfest usually has plenty of porn elite attending, with folks like Gino Colbert, Bob East and many of the stars in attendance at the parties, at the screenings and even on screen. This year, there’s lots of buzz about David Kittridge’s Pornography, an indie about the mysterious disappearance of a gay adult star and another star’s search for him. The award-winning adult performer formerly known as Brad Benton, now using the name Dylan Vox, stars.

Greek Pete is another Outfest movie that follows real-life rent boys at a London flat. College Boys Live does this for real, allowing guys to earn some extra cash to pay their way through school by running a jack-off site in their dorm room. I’ll probably have some more insight into the porn stars and their appearances in these mainstream films as I watch a few of the movies, and I’ll report about those things later.

Meanwhile, back at the Los Angeles Film Festival, gay porn friend and past GAYVN show host Bruce Vilanch is part of a panel called “Post-Gay Hollywood: Straight Talk about Gay Movies.” Lots of gay directors and performers are scheduled to take part in the provocative discussion (which is free on June 22 at the Geffen Playhouse in Westwood, Calif.). Vilanch has told me in the past that he thinks the increasing big-budget nature of porn and its rising quality are blurring the lines between “mainstream” and “adult” — and that's a good thing.
