LOS ANGELES—Production has recently wrapped for the second season of Luxxxe Studios' Friends in Heat, with a targeted late summer release for the season's debut episode, “In the Heat of the Moment.”
The new season, consisting of four episodes, is led by Luxxxe exclusive and executive brand ambassador Justin Yurmouth and award-winning performer Brian Bonds, who reprise their roles as Jake Carmichael and Darryl MacDaniels. They are joined by new cast member Archer Croft as Carmichael's troublemaking brother, Allen Carmichael.
Newcomer Matteo Nevaeh reprises his role as millionaire Jonas Donovan for an even more surprising character arc in season two, along with multi-GayVN award-winning Aaron Trainer, who returns as the head prosecutor and Jake Carmichael's law school friend, Todd Ramsey. The new season also introduces newcomer and new Luxxxe exclusive Luke London as assistant district attorney to Jake Carmichael, Brad Harrington.
Other cast members include Ryan Carter as Senator Jeffrey Kaninsky, Jayden Jaxx as Judge Zach Ramsey, and ManyVids Gay King of the Year winner Jason Collins as Mayor Ethan Christiansen.
Season two takes place two years after the end of the season one finale. Jake (Yurmouth) and Darryl (Bonds) continue to foster their relationship. Meanwhile, scandal and corruption abound throughout City Hall and the DA’s office, which Jake now leads.
Jasun Mark directs season two of Friends in Heat while Mark Hersh serves as director of photography. Luxxxe Studios' founder and CEO JD Daniels is the creator and executive producer of the series. Season two marks Yurmouth's debut as a producer, and this season's screenwriter is Stephen Michaels.
