SAN FRANCISCO - Jock Itch, a new sports-themed film directed by Jake Deckard for his Screaming Eagle XXX video line, has completed principal photography. It is expected to be released March 28.
"I think sports gear has a broad appeal in a sexual context," Deckard said of the film's theme. "I love jocks, socks, cleats, pads, all that shit, and while I was busy filming this video it's really developed into a full-on fetish for me."
Jock Itch stars Deckard, Logan McCree, Steve Cruz, Scott Tanner and Tyler Saint. It is scheduled to premiere during Black Party week in New York City.
Screaming Eagle XXX, a new company fully owned and operated by Deckard, already has earned two GAYVN Award nominations, including a Best Fetish Video nod for it debut release, Ink Storm.
"I'm looking to develop a new audience with Screaming Eagle XXX: bad-ass young men who don't feel they are part of the scope of the big porn companies and usually don't buy their stuff because it isn't cool," Deckard said. "I'd like to make a real mark on these guys' sexuality; turn them on and give them something to think about and lust over for a good long time."
Raging Stallion Studios is the exclusive distributor of Screaming Eagle XXX, and the two companies have a close working relationship that allows Raging Stallion exclusive models to perform in Deckard productions. Cruz and McCree, for example, are Raging Stallion exclusives.
"Jake has become one of the key players in the gay adult biz in just a few short years," said Raging Stallion president Chris Ward. "He is one of our top actors at Raging Stallion, and his first film, Ink Storm, is one of the biggest hits of the year. He has that rare gift of really knowing what makes good erotica, [and] he has learned all aspects of the industry, from acting to camerawork to casting to directing to editing and even to marketing. Jake Deckard is here to stay, and I am very glad he is associated with our studio."
Deckard was nominated for two 2008 GAYVN Awards: Performer of the Year and Best Actor, both for his over-the-top portrayal of Sgt. Houle in the Raging Stallion epic GRUNTS.
"I really feel like I went the distance in that video," Deckard said. "I am ready to move into production and away from being a ‘star,' and I couldn't have been handed a better opportunity to show what I'm capable of than GRUNTS."
Deckard plans to continue working in front of the camera in Screaming Eagle XXX productions.
"The best part of being the director is being able to choose your own co-stars," he said. "At this point, if you see me with anybody in a scene, you can bet we both really wanted to be there."
