NEW YORK CITY—Dolf Dietrich began doing gay adult DVD and web scenes in 2014, and now he's joined forces with Jack Mackenroth, who briefly appeared in XXX scenes in 2018 before scoring an appearance on Project Runway Season 4, and more recently attracting fans on OnlyFans and JustForFans. The pair had been business partners for a number of years before cementing their personal relationship earlier this year, and together, they've created a Manhattan-based multi-level, multi-functional studio, Jack’Dolf Smut Factory (JDSM).
Porn’s format, distribution and consumption are constantly changing, and in order to thrive, studios need to adapt, so Dietrich and Mackenroth have created just such a venture by combining Dietrich’s decade of studio success and Mackenroth’s years of experience with user-uploaded platforms, plus their experience in art, graphics, design, branding, and marketing.
The Jack’Dolf Smut Factory in the heart of Manhattan features, among other things, massive dildos on rolling stands, erotic murals, custom painting, two levels, two slings, two fuck-beds, a glory hole between the two bathrooms, a rim seat, a fuck machine and all the sex toys a content creator could want. JDSM is also fully equipped with the latest technology for camming and filming, making it the closest thing to a full- service sex palace. (JDSM is a drug-free, safe space where participants may explore theirsexual limits without judgment.)
JDSM now has more than 12 scenes in the can in just its first month in business, though eventually, the space will serve multiple purposes. Dietrich and Mackenroth say they are personally interested in a variety of fetishes, many of which will show up in their work. They will also direct and produce content behind the camera with a diverse cast of models and scenarios. Eventually, vetted individuals will be able to rent the space to film or fuck—or pretty much whatever they're interested in doing there.
“The great thing about our partnership is that we complement each other so magically”, said Dietrich. ”We are so sexually compatible and eager to explore new fetishes and try new methods of filming and discovering where else porn can go as an art form that gets you/us off.”
Before entering XXX, Dietrich had been an Art Director of Marketing at Rolling Stone magazine, which he left in 2010 to build a webcam brand as "Dolf". Features for such studios as Lucas Entertainment, Treasure Island Media, Raging Stallion and more quickly followed, and he amassed more than 300 web and DVD scenes.
Mackenroth has been a model since his early twenties. He is best known for his appearance on Season 4 of Project Runway and his HIV activism. He has been using the user-uploaded platforms OnlyFans and JustForFans for the past three years. He said he will continue using his visibility to demystify HIV and combat the associated stigma.
