More Dangerous Debuts at Philadelphia Gay Film Fest

More Dangerous: The Making of Michael Lucas’ Dangerous Liaisons will receive its world premiere Saturday, July 22, as part of the 2006 Philadelphia International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.

The one-time-only special screening will be held at the Prince Music Theater at 9:45 p.m.

A panel discussion moderated by The Village Voice’s Michael Musto will follow the screening. Appearing onstage will be director Michael Lucas, porn star Erik Grant, comedian Bruce Vilanch, and Supermodel-of-the-World Ru Paul.

Updated to 21st-century-New York’s fashion world, Lucas' adaptation of the classic French novel of sex, intrigue, and betrayal, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, was one of the most-talked about gay porn films of 2005, and won GAYVN Awards for Best Picture and Screenplay.

A special reception, which includes complimentary appetizers and an open bar, will be held at the private residence of Bryan Hoffman from 7 to 9 p.m. before Saturday's screening. The location will be disclosed only to ticket buyers. Donations of $20 per person to attend the reception will benefit the Philadelphia Film Society. Reception sponsors are Hoffman Design Group, Barefoot Wines, Bud Light, and Caviar Assouline.
