LOS ANGELES - Gay movie studios and Web-based companies received nominations across a variety of categories in the sixth-annual XBiz Awards competition. NakedSword, CupidoCam and Manolay will compete in categories primarily populated by straight companies or companies that have both straight and gay components.
The XBiz Awards annually honor "outstanding individuals, companies, performers and products that contribute positively to the adult entertainment industry," according to promotional literature. This year's awards will include several new categories, including movie production and performance, outstanding achievement, lifetime achievement, outstanding marketing campaign and publicity stunt.
