SAN FRANCISCO—Falcon|NakedSword announced Wednesday that it has signed an exclusive development deal with award-nominated screenwriter and director Ben Rush, whose latest writing work for the company was the nine-part blockbuster Ride or Die.
Under the agreement, Rush will develop, write and sometimes direct movies for Falcon Studios, NakedSword Originals, Raging Stallion and Hot House Video. In addition, he will participate in the creation and execution of brand extensions and various special projects for the company.
“I’ve always had an interest in erotic storytelling and Falcon|NakedSword is the premier brand for all-male adult entertainment," Rush said. "I’m proud to be in business with a studio that has not only such a rich history but also a bright future. Falcon|NakedSword has always been an innovative studio with top-tier filmmakers and talent. Under the leadership of Tim Valenti, I’m excited to contribute to projects that will bring contemporary hardcore content to new and long-time fans.”
“Ben has knocked it out of the park with films such as Ride or Die and Bred & Breakfast: The Come Inn, and I’m thrilled to be able to incorporate his unique voice into upcoming projects,” said Falcon|NakedSword president Valenti. “As we continue to create our trademark cutting-edge content, Ben will be an invaluable addition to the Falcon|NakedSword team.”
With a background in theatrical motion pictures and television, Rush is no stranger to the demands of development, screenwriting and physical production. The company touts him as having a particular talent for crafting strong and relatable storylines that complement the framework of adult movies.
In addition to his work on Ride or Die and Bred & Breakfast: The Come Inn (which he also co-directed), Rush has written the screenplays for Raging Stallion's Dirty 30: Bareback Birthday and Power Play, Hot House’s Random Fucks, NakedSword’s Dear Johnny, as well as Falcon’s holiday offering, The Gift, and a yet-to-be-titled project recently shot in Europe.
Previously, Rush penned, co-produced and co-directed movies for Masqulin, including the multi-award-nominated What’s Gotten Into Him? and Caught Raw-Handed.
