Former Gay Performer, CNN Producer Matt Null Passes Away

LOS ANGELES—Matt Null, a senior producer for CNN whose past work included a stint in gay porn 12 years ago, died on Monday while vacationing with friends in Barcelona. He was 34.

Null had been working on CNN’s “Early Start” for more than three years, according to published reports.

The morning show’s anchor, Christine Romans, delivered the sad news during Wednesday's broadcast.

“It is with a heavy heart that we report tragic news of one of our own this morning,” Romans said, noting the cause of death had not been confirmed.

Null did scenes for CorbinFisher.com starting in 2004 under the stage name "Austin," according to Str8UpGayPorn.com.

In his model profile which is still on the site, it says "Austin applied to model through the site. He is a full-time student and splits his time between school and the gym."

Null, who also worked for Fox News' "On the Record With Greta Van Susteren" as a producer, previously held local TV jobs in Youngstown, Ohio, Tampa, Fla., Miami and San Francisco.
