DÜSSELDORF, Germany - Marcel Bruckmann gave XY-Studios a present during his recent birthday festivities: He signed a new contract to produce four new Man's-Art titles during 2008.
"I am glad to be signing this contract with XY-Studios," Bruckmann said. "I am glad to work all these years for and together with XY-Studios. Together with them I have made already so many top hit movies. I am content about the possibility to do movies with XY-Studios and realize all these ideas I have in my mind.
"I am proud to see now one of my best films, The Farm, getting released in North America," he added.
A winner of multiple awards for his work, Bruckmann already has produced one 2008 title: Martin Brawer & Friends. For a subsequent release, he has promised to return to a watersports theme.
"After Pissing in 2007, I am on fire to replicate such a high-quality movie," he said.
The real question last week, though, was did he want anything special for his birthday?
"I am a [simple] person; I don't have special wishes," Bruckmann said. "Maybe just a new golden backscratcher would be enough."
