Two fundraisers scheduled by promoter Will Clark will be held in San Francisco on July 23 and 30, Clark announced in a weekend press release. The events are Porn Idol and the Third Annual Bad Boys by the Bay. Both fundraisers benefit Magnet, a San Francisco nonprofit gay services center.
Porn Idol is a "porn-star search" Clark created with New York promoter Jeff Kagan last year. The popular event has since played Phoenix and Palm Springs as well as New York and San Francisco. Contestants may sign up for the July 23 event at 9 p.m. on the night of the show at the Powerhouse or contact Clark directly at [email protected].
Among the Porn Idol judges are Sister-of-Perpetual-Indulgence Roma, Kristofer Weston of COLT Studio, Billy Worthen of Folsom Street Events, Titan Media's Keith Webb, and L.A. Drag Diva/Bad Boys Pool Party host Momma.
All entrants will receive "gay porn and ID Lube just for entering," Clark said. The Grand Prize includes a photo shoot by San Francisco photographer Tim Wong and two tickets to Bad Boys by the Bay. Contests include a sexy strip and a "fake orgasm face" competition.
Clark's second Magnet fundraiser, Bad Boys by the Bay: A Burlesque Show, will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. July 30 at Studio Z. Advance tickets, available from Magnet (415-581-1612), are $60. Tickets at the door, if any, are $75.
Donna Sachet, Heklina, Sister Roma, and Momma are scheduled to host the event. Performers include the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Men of the Bare Chast Calendar, Andy Dill, Blu Kennedy, Gina la Divina, Hunt Parker, Joey Russo, Michael Soldier, Pete Ross, and Suppositori Spelling.
