LOS ANGELES—Online public voting for Cybersocket’s 10th Annual Web Awards opened Monday, allowing fans and industry insiders an opportunity to help determine the “best of the best” on the LGBT web.
“You can let your favorite sites, personalities and companies know the work they do really matters,” a company spokesperson said. “This year we’ve added a few new categories. The new Surfers’ Choice categories are Massage Site, Mobile Site and Movie of the Year. The new Webmasters’ Choice categories are Alternative Billing Company, Company of the Year and White Label.”
The Cybersocket Web Awards is the only event of its kind to honor the best LGBT websites. Each year, outstanding websites are recognized for their achievements in both Surfers’ Choice and Industry Choice categories.
“We feel that it is essential to honor these individuals and companies as being technological entrepreneurs, important agents of free expression and cultural change, and innovators in queer online media and entertainment,” a prepared statement noted.
Industry insiders may vote here. Fans may vote here. Online voting for all categories will close Dec. 31.
