LOS ANGELES—The first-ever Trendy Awards, described by organizers as an homage to “those who are currently leading the XXX pop-culture trends,” will take place June 10 as part of the weekly Cocktails With the Stars party at Micky’s Bar in West Hollywood, Calif. The celebration was timed to coincide with the beginning of Gay Pride weekend in Los Angeles.
“The Trendy Awards are intended to honor the fans’ choices,” according to a statement from event organizers. “In a world where popularity is a commodity as reliable as fame, the Trendy Awards’ mission is to celebrate those trends, fads, fashions and ‘now’ moments before they fade into the obscurity of yesterday’s news only to resurface years later as a retro delight.”
Overseen by nVisionMax Media and co-hosted by Scott “Scotty B” Boardman and Las Vegas-based drag queen Syren Vaughn, the Trendy Awards celebration is expected to begin at 6:30 p.m. with a meet-and-greet, followed by the presentation of awards at 7:30 p.m.
“Gift bags will be given to our guests with a variety of fun and interactive gifts courtesy of our wonderful sponsors—Micky’s West Hollywood, Raging Stallion Studios, HourBoy, Gay HotMovies, Drip Clips, Male Menu, NickYoungXXX.com, Jockstrap Maid Service, Cocktails With the Stars and nVisionMax Media,” a spokesman said.
The awards will honor winners in categories including “Best Cock,” “Best Sex Scene,” “Prettiest Eyes,” “Best Live Show,” “Hottest Website,” “Best Live Video Sex Chat,” “Best New Site” and “Best Hookup Spot.”
