Toby Ross' "Twins" Hits DVD

CHICAGO - "Getting it on" with two other hot guys is one thing, but when they look alike, it is an entirely different turn-on. In 1993, Toby Ross culled scenes from his previous films, including Duplicated and Schoolmates 2, to cobble together a pseudo-documentary about identical twin brothers. Entitled Twins, the movie examines the myths and intrigue of brotherly love and sex.

Bijou Video has re-released the groundbreaking work on DVD.

Part documentary, part sex video, Twins provides a frank look into the alluring and mysterious realm of identical twins. By sensitively tracing the interconnectedness of young men, Ross explores sexual action between them and the tapering off of sex play as they grow older.

Featured on the DVD are the O'Briens, boyish-looking Marine twins; the sun-kissed California boys, Tim and Chris Christy; and the Karlstadt brothers from Schoolmates 2. Director Ross captured each pair on film as they submitted to the eager ministrations of their other half. There is a certain tender vulnerability to the sex scenes, as the twins assuredly enter worlds made for them alone. The compilation is a fascinating peek into their intimate, narcissistic world.

The new DVD edition includes restored original film and video segments. New packaging and labeling by Bijou Video completes the re-release.
