Titan Media Removes All Content from AEBN/NakedSword Network

SAN FRANCISCO—Gay adult studio Titan Media on Monday abruptly ended its nearly three-year video-on-demand relationship with online broadcast network AEBN/NakedSword. The divorce means 165 films in Titan’s TitanMen, ManPlay, TitanMen Fresh, ROUGH and MSR lines no longer are available in any of AEBN’s worldwide virtual theaters or those maintained by the latter’s associates or subsidiaries.

According to a studio spokesman, annual gross revenue from the severed deal amounted to “seven figures.”

Titan Vice President Keith Webb said the studio had “no comment at this time” about reasons for the severance, but the company’s products will continue to be available on its own websites (TitanMen.com, TitanXXX.com, TitanMenMobile.com) and on the VOD and pay-per-minute websites of marketing partners including TLAVideo.com, Maleflixxx.tv, SplashShots.com and Gamelink.com.

Affiliates who wish to continue to promote Titan content may visit TitanMenCash.com, TLAvideo.com/affiliates/, MaleFlixxx-Affiliates.com and Gamelink.com/partners.jhtml for details about the programs.

Titan has worked with AEBN subsidiary NakedSword since 1997. In fact, NakedSword built the studio's first website. When NakedSword merged with AEBN in early 2007, Titan and NakedSword parted ways due to a dispute between Titan and AEBN subsidiary PornoTube.com. That dispute was settled in May 2007, and Titan signed a new VOD contract with AEBN in June of the same year.

“We have been very lucky to have had a successful and profitable 2009,” Webb told AVN.com late Monday. “2010 looks to continue the trend and will be a year of continued expansion for us. We will be rolling out an innovative and completely redesigned VOD website in late spring 2010 that will surprise a lot of folks in the industry.”
